Next up is WoodFest! Threadmongers will be a vendor at Sedro-Woolley's WoodFest, April 23-24! Held in the gym at SWHS, it's a celebration of woodworking student achievements plus our relationship to the local timber industry. This annual event just grows and grows! Come and appreciate the students' work and visit vendors, attend demos, and meet up with friends! And it's an official event of the Tulip Festival!

Due to abbreviated set-up time I'll be bringing an abbreviated version of my usual booth threads. But all your favorites! Aurifil (1300 meter spools and 5900 meter cones), King Tut (spools and cones); Glide (spools and cones); So Fine (spools and cones); Bottom Line (spools, and cones); Master Quilter (cones); Konfetti (spools and cones); Class 15, L, and M prewound bobbins; Pearl Cotton by Valdani and Presencia; #12 weight threads by Aurifil, Wonderfil, and Sulky; MonoPoly; Mettler; wool by Genziana, Aurifil, and Valdani; and a few more surprises.
Important: If there is something in particular you want me to bring, let me know!
Free admission, good parking, hours 9-4 on Saturday and 10-3 on Sunday. Carpool with your friends! Bring a "trailing spouse"! This is an easy-access, fun, and interesting outing. You need thread!

Threadmongers 1Q and 2Q schedule for 2022

As our pandemic restrictions ease, a little, quilt shows are coming back on line!  So nice to look forward to spending time among beautiful quilts with beautiful friends.  So here are some opportunities for you to find quilts and THREADMONGERS at regional shows in Washington.

But first, here are a few reminders:

These shows will follow the government's pandemic requirements in place for the date/location of the event.  This is to ensure your safety and the health of the community.

Bring your proof of vaccination, as it may be required to enter a public event.

Bring a good quality mask - bring two if you think you may want to change.

Bring a tote bag, just like you do to the supermarket.  Washington state eliminated single-use bags on October 1, 2021.

Bring cash to speed up your transaction.  Many venues have very slow Internet access for credit/debit card processing.

Here we go!

All Your Quilting Friends Want Thread for Christmas!

Have I mentioned lately that all your quilting friends

want thread for Christmas? I’ll bring it up again…

Hand Quilting Threads - use your favorites!

Hand quilting - what threads do you like?
Technically, you can hand quilt with anything. It just depends on the "look" you want for your project.
You can use a "glazed" thread that is pre-treated with a thread conditioner, or use a non-glazed thread and treat it yourself with a thread conditioner like Thread Magic.
Many quilters prefer a 40-weight cotton hand quilting thread:
YLI Select traditional hand quilting glazed thread
YLI 40-weight non-glazed thread
Aurifil 40-weight thread
Mettler 40-weight thread
King Tut 40-weight thread
Or something heavier?
Aurifil 28-weight thread
Sulky 30-weight thread
Or even heavier?
Aurifil 12-weight thread
Wonderfil's Spagetti 12-weight thread
Valdani #12 Pearl Cotton
Threadmongers has them all! Plus traditional Sashiko thread or use a 12-weight thread for your Sashiko stitching.

See all these threads plus MANY MORE at the Clark County Quilters QuiltFest Northwest October 21-23 or at the Block Party Quilters show November 12-14. Or PM me her to inquire! Yes, I mail thread orders all the time!

QuiltFest Northwest is coming soon! October 21-23
