What a great weekend for a quilt show!  We are so inspired by SPRING!

The Yakima Valley Quilters have a show every other year, and THIS IS IT!  They are spreading out at the Yakima Convention Center - rumor is that they had so many  more entries than they expected that they had to take over two extra rooms. You know that means quilters have been busy!

So come to Yakima this weekend - after all this inspiration YOU'LL NEED THREAD!  And you knew I was going to say that...

Yakima Valley Quilter's Guild - get ready, because here I come!  Wednesday, August 17 I'll be at your meeting to talk about using metallic threads in quilting!

Let’s sparkle!   There’s a new generation of metallic threads out there that are beautiful, easy to use, and can make your project sparkly!  We’ll discuss the main ways to make using metallic threads successful and show samples – from quilting all over with metallic thread to adding little touches.  What about that “old” metallic thread that you bought and found too frustrating to use?  I’ll show you how to use that, too!  Come and find out how quilters use metallic threads to sparkle and shine!!

Next up, the Yakima Valley Quilters Guild meeting on August 19th!  They have graciously invited me to come and talk about THREAD - fiber content and weight, with lots of examples and tips/tricks!

I'll be in Yakima in plenty of time for you to stock up on your favorites and to maybe learn a "little something".  I learn things about thread every day and I have been quilting since 1976...
