A quilting pause in the Threadmonger's quilt show year!

After the lovely Crystal Quilters' show this past weekend, the Threadmonger is ready for some down time!  Well, QUILTING TIME!  My next show is with the Block Party Quilters of Issaquah, November 7-8-9; more on that later!  In the meantime, I'll have a chance to use some of these great THREADS in my own quilting adventure!  If you need anything, I think you know where to find me!  If not, just leave a comment here and I'll get back to you.

Crystal Quilters of Enumclaw quilt show October 10-11!

Nestled in the foothills, there's lots of quilting going on!  Enumclaw's Crystal Quilters can hardly wait to show your their best work at the Enumclaw Expo Center this weekend! 

Fall is in the air, which means winter is close behind...and you'll need THREAD!  I know you do.  Right now, get going on a list of colors and fibers you'll need to complete those UFOs and those new ideas roaming around in your head. 

Once winter arrives, you'll be ready to hunker down and QUILT!

La Conner Quilt and Fiber Art Festival - October 3-4-5!

Another great festival awaits us this weekend! 



The La Conner Quilt and Textile Museum sponsors its annual Quilt and Fiber Art Festival full of classes, friends, and a juried exhibit of delicious quilts!

La Conner is a place for quilt-appreciating.  We're so lucky to have the Museum there and other fiber-oriented businesses close by.  The Festival will also feature vendors and Threadmongers will be there!!  You know it takes THREAD to make your quilts and fiber art sing!

Cabin Fever Quilters host their biannual show Sept. 26-27 in beautiful Port Townsend!

Two years' worth of quilting and creativity always go into the Cabin Fever Quilters' show!  Held in even-numbered years, the quilters in the region around Chimacum and Port Townsend bring a lot of enthusiasm to their show at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.  I should know - not only do I bring THREAD to their shows, but I see these energetic quilters pop up EVERYWHERE at great shows in the Pacific Northwest!

So plan to attend this weekend - be prepared for lots of inspiration and to WOW at their 2014 opportunity quilt.  It is a stunner.

I will tell you that these are some of the most fun shows of the year - the Crystal Quilters show is new for Threadmongers but if the enthusiasm of their members is any indication, they have a fabulous time, too! 

Our friends in Port Townsend only have a show in even-numbered years, so don't miss this one!!

If you are working with wool or thinking about it...be sure and come to the Threadmongers booth where there will be LOTS of wool thread by both Aurifil and Genziana!!

Have you tried Invisifil, the amazing 100-weight poly thread by Wonderfil?  You need to try it and its companion product, Deco Bob, which is an 80-weight poly by Wonderfil. 

There's so much to discover about quilting thread.  Surely half the fun of quilting is the thread!  Well, you knew I would say that.
