Woolley Fiber Quilters' annual quilt and fiber art show - July 18-19-20!

The Sedro-Woolley Quilt Show!

This is my home turf and my home guild!  We have a bigger and more fun show every year - you want to be here!

300+ quilts on display, a special exhibit of quilts made from Elizabeth Hartman designs, People's Choice voting, demonstrations, vendors, Featured Quilters, and the popular Bed Turning!

And a few surprises...

So add this to your July calendar - with a three-day show you have great options for attending!
$5 admission and kids 19 and under FREE because we want to encourage the youth to QUILT!

Enter your quilt or fiber art at no charge.  Yes, there is a youth category for entry.  Get a registration form at Cascade Fabrics, from any WFQ member, or follow the online link posted on our blog site or Facebook page.  Registrations open May 1 and are due June 30.  Your quilt or fiber art piece does not need to be completed until turn-in day July 16.  And quilts need a hanging sleeve!

Threadmongers will be a vendor and some of your other favorite vendors will be there.

This is great home town fun and we love to share it with you.
And you need thread!

Threadmongers 1Q and 2Q schedule for 2022

As our pandemic restrictions ease, a little, quilt shows are coming back on line!  So nice to look forward to spending time among beautiful quilts with beautiful friends.  So here are some opportunities for you to find quilts and THREADMONGERS at regional shows in Washington.

But first, here are a few reminders:

These shows will follow the government's pandemic requirements in place for the date/location of the event.  This is to ensure your safety and the health of the community.

Bring your proof of vaccination, as it may be required to enter a public event.

Bring a good quality mask - bring two if you think you may want to change.

Bring a tote bag, just like you do to the supermarket.  Washington state eliminated single-use bags on October 1, 2021.

Bring cash to speed up your transaction.  Many venues have very slow Internet access for credit/debit card processing.

Here we go!

2021 - MY "SCHEDULE" AND THE QUILTERS ANONYMOUS SHOW

Thread fans and friends,

We are still here and we are still quilting.  That's important right now - we are resilient and we know what to do when things get tough!  Be creative and generous.  Your reputation and legacy as quilters is so needed!

This is the time of year that I normally publish my quilt show schedule for the first six months.  All but one of the shows I look forward to are cancelled or suspended.

So I'm going to do the same thing I did during 2020!  Enjoy meeting my customers' needs from my home and pushing my way through my fabric stash!

Quilters Anonymous has developed a virtual show to replace their usual spectacular show at the Monroe fairgrounds.  They invite you to attend!  I know you all look forward to that one and this year it will be full of two years' worth of quilts!

March 12 to May 1, 2021

They also have a vendors' platform and I am on it.  So when you attend the show and roam around the vendors' postings, look for me!

Here's the show link:  www.QAVQS.org

If you want to shop in person, here in Sedro-Woolley, we will make arrangements.  I welcome all thread shoppers outside on my very large porch and we will wear masks, sanitize, and distance.

If you want to order thread to be mailed, just let me know and I will work with you to identify what you want and mail your order directly.

I don't have a retail web site.  I still have SO MUCH STOCK that I would do nothing but maintain the site, and I would rather quilt.  You can see the list of threads I typically have in the sidebar on the right and I can special order things for you.

Here's one thing to think about; I can put 12 spools of Aurifil in the smallest USPS Priority Mail box.  So if you're shopping for Aurifil, go together with a friend or two, and pay postage once.

I'm seeing an uptick in interest in the Wonderfil family of threads.  Invisafil, DecoBob, Master Quilter, Spagetti, Konfetti, Spotlite, Fabulux, Glamore, and others.  Ask about them!

Keep quilting!  I'm sure I'll "see" you at the Quilters Anonymous online show.  We have hope in 2021 that our ability to gather safely will be restored!  In the meantime, share your beautiful quilts virtually and inspire other quilters!

Quilters Anonymous brings you Beauty, Blossoms, and Bugs! March 13-15, 2020

Quilters Anonymous members work all year to get ready for their BIG, FUN, and AMAZING quilt show in March!  Once again at the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe this is the destination for quilters on a weekend to celebrate quilting!

This show is easy access for you from all over the region - Straight up Highway 2 to Monroe and follow the signs to the east end of the fairgrounds.  Great parking, 500+ quilts, demos, vendors, and inspiration!

     Threadmongers will be there and
this is your opportunity to stock up
on your favorites for your next beautiful projects.

You are wondering where to find Aurifil in neutral shades and great colors?
     Threadmongers has 500 spools!

You are wondering where to find the popular 12-weight threads for bold quilting
and embellishment?  Threadmongers has three brands to choose from!

You are wondering where to find beautiful variegated threads in cotton and
tri-lobal poly?  Bring your fabric to find a great match!

You are wondering where to find the 60, 80, and 100-weight poly threads
for fine piecing, quilting, and English Paper Piecing projects?
     Threadmongers has it all!

You are wondering where to find M size prewound bobbins?
You know that Threadmongers has them!  In both poly and cotton!
(And Class 15 and L style, too!  Bring your bobbin size!)

Oh, there is so much more.  Valdani pearl cottons in #8 and #12 weights, two-and three-ply piecing cottons, and metallics with great performance on domestic and longarm machines!

So plan a trip, with friends, to Monroe on the March 13-15 weekend and gather your inspiration and THREADS at this great annual show.  Plan your trip now!  Bring a tote bag and be sure to have your list handy!  And it's OK to go off-list...

Sunbonnet Sues in Sequim!

The annual Sequim Lavender Festival brings a lot of folks to town - but so do the quilts!  What a great event they have for a midsummer adventure.  You need to take a day or a weekend and come on out to Sequim for the lavender, the friendliness, and the quilt show!

I saw the raffle quilt last year when it was still just a top and I KNEW that it would be spectacular!  And it is!  Their theme is "Don't bug me, I'm quilting".  Bugs galore!

And because Sequim is the World Headquarters for The Applique Society you can always expect some great applique.  Bugs and flowers and everything!

Threadmongers will be there - my 10th year with the Sunbonnet Sues!  So much fun and many long time friends.  You need thread!

Block Party Quilters present the last guild show of 2016 - Nov. 11-12-13!

The Block Party Quilters have creative inspiration for you at their annual quilt show Nov. 11-12-13 at the Issaquah Community Center!

This is the last "guild" quilt show in Western Washington of the year - and the vendors are always a little manic for the occasion!

You'll enjoy the members' entries plus those of their featured quilter, Lisa Jenni.  She's a local standout and if you are a frequent quilt show attendee in these parts, you are probably familiar with her interesting work.

BPQ always has a great tea room and boutique, as well as some super door prizes!

And the Issaquah Community Center is the perfect venue for the show - lots of light comes in, even on the gray November days!

Come early and stay late!  Threadmongers will be there - it will be a long winter and YOU NEED THREAD!!
